Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett said he'd donate more than 80 percent to foundations that support charitable causes. In 2020, he increased that percentage to 99 percent. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which was established by Bill Gates and Melinda (the Microsoft founder) was the primary recipient. This foundation focused on education and global health. Bill and Buffett had been close friends since the 90s. The three Buffett children and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation (named after his wife) were among those that were the recipients of donations. They were focused on reproductive rights for women, funded college scholarships, and had other charities. In 2010, Buffett and Gates formulated the Giving Pledge. This pledge invited other wealthy individuals to donate a majority of their wealth to charitable causes.
